RANK – Swedish Association of New Music Promoters

The Swedish network RANK consists of over 40 independent promoters, clubs, festivals and societies spread over the whole country. These local societies are active in a large number of musical fields, ranging from notated and improvised contemporary art music to electro-acoustic music and pluralistic combinations.

RANK strives to give contemporary music a stronger position on the Swedish cultural scene by establishing new local clubs and by giving support to our existing members. This is to be achieved by creating a platform for cooperation and a powerful network for coordination and information.

RANK cooperates closely with many similar organizations, both at home and abroad, thus ensuring a significant Swedish contribution to international music exchange.
